Retail Guarding

Retail Guards protect both staff and property within stores, shopping centre and malls.

Working closely with shop management and in constant contact with the public, Aran’s Retail Officers have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to protect / reduce stock shrinkage and theft.

Wearing full uniform, the Retail Officer acts as a visible deterrent to both ‘spur of the moment’ and professional shoplifters. 

Aran’s Retail Guards use mobile phones and/or 2-way hand held mobile radios, which are constantly monitored by our control room staff and in-store management.

Aran operates a 24-hour, 7 day per week, manned control room from our operational base at F4 Calmount Park, Ballymount, Dublin 12.  This organisational hub uses landlines, mobile phones, dect phones and radios to ensure that Officers and Client sites are always contactable. 

In the event of a problem, Control notifies our Supervisors and Duty Managers as well as directing staff in the resolution of the incident.
